Trek itinerary in short

A small road following the Tirthan river takes you up to the village Ropa. Then the trail continues up to the Park gate gradually taking you into a wilder environment. After the gate, you remain very close to the river up to Rolla.

Nothing very steep on this trek. The path goes up and down toward the Park gate through some nice forests. From the Gate to Rolla you are with the chanting river in the wilderness of the GHNP.

The Tirthan valley in 3 days

Day 1 : Journey to the Mountains

In the evening, you board the overnight Volvo bus from the iconic Kashmere Gate in Delhi. Allow the gentle hum of the bus to lull you into a serene journey, and indulge in a delightful dinner and a morning breakfast en route. As the wheels roll through the night, anticipation builds for the enchanting experiences awaiting you in the heart of the Himalayas.

Day 2 : Sojha and Jalori pass

Awaken to the crisp mountain air as you arrive at Aut in the morning. Our dedicated taxi awaits, ready to transport you to the charming guest house in Sojha. Take a moment to refresh yourself, and then set forth on an awe-inspiring excursion to the majestic Jalori Pass. Indulge in a delightful lunch amidst the splendor of Jalori Pass before embarking on a hike to a breathtaking 360-degree viewpoint, offering a mesmerizing panorama of the Himalayan peaks. Return to the guest house in the evening, relishing a hearty dinner and immersing yourself in the tranquility of the mountains in Sojha.

Day 3 - Trek to Rolla

After the breakfast, our reliable taxi whisks you away to Gushaini, the starting point of an invigorating trek along the Tirthan River. Pause at the scenic mobile point for a packed lunch, continuing your journey to the gates of the Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP). A brief 45-minute walk brings you to the idyllic Rolla campsite, nestled by the riverside. Indulge in a scrumptious dinner complemented by the warmth of a bonfire, and surrender to the embrace of nature as you retire to your tent beneath the star-lit canvas.

Day 4 : Return for the trek and Farewell to the Mountains

Wake up to a delectable breakfast served by our attentive staff, setting the stage for a leisurely descent back to Gushaini. By mid-afternoon, reach Gushaini, where a local guest house offers you the opportunity to freshen up. Our taxi awaits to escort you back to Aut, marking the conclusion of this mesmerizing journey. Board your bus back to Delhi, carrying with you the memories of an extraordinary expedition into the heart of the Himalayas.
